Vietnam Power Resource Partners Corporation (VietnamPRP) is honored to be the consulting partner accompanying the Investor of the Nexif Energy Ben Tre Wind Power Plant, Nexif Wind Power Plant Phases 2, 3, in negotiating the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Electricity Power Trading Company (EVNEPTC). This is one of the first transitional wind power projects in Vietnam to successfully complete the negotiation and signing of the PPA appendix under the electricity price framework for transitional wind power plants, as stipulated in Decision No. 21/QĐ-BCT dated January 7, 2023 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade — a significant milestone at a time when the FIT pricing mechanism has expired.
VietnamPRP acted as the PPA negotiation consultant for all three phases of the Nexif Energy Ben Tre Project, with a total capacity of up to 80 MW. Throughout the process, our team of experts, with over 20 years of experience in the power sector, worked closely with the team from Nexif Ratch Energy, not only supporting negotiation strategy but also playing a key role in:

Developing and fine-tuning the electricity pricing model, ensuring that key input factors such as investment cost, operating cost, capacity factor, and financing cost comply with regulations and guidelines from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and EVN;

Conducting comprehensive analysis of all factors affecting the electricity price;

Timely updating and application of the latest legal documents related to pricing policies, transitional mechanisms, and EVN/EVNEPTC review procedures;

Advising and preparing the complete technical and financial documentation in accordance with the stringent requirements of EVN and government authorities.
